Error -2147467261 Fetching Agrian Data

When going to AGY - General Setup - Items - Chemical you get the following error

 

Agrian utilizes IIS and ASP.NET across the network and therefore requires a functional Internet connection to communicate with these services on the server. If everything is setup and functioning on the server, but you get the above error from the client, it is an indication that the Internet connectivity is not configured properly.

I.  This may be caused by incorrect proxy settings.

On the client exhibiting the problem, check the following:

  1. Launch Internet Explorer

  2. Click on the Tools menu item

  3. Click on Internet Options

  4. Click the Connections tab

  5. Click the LAN settings button

  6. Click to uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN" if a proxy is not required or if a proxy is required confirm the settings that need to be set with the Network Administrator

  7. Click OK

  8. Click Apply

  9. Click OK

  10. Close Internet Explorer

 

II.  This has also been observed on certain client machines that use a mapped network drive instead of a UNC path to the datasets folder on the server.

To test the changes proceed with the following:

  1. Launch AGRIS

  2. Select your dataset and sign in

  3. Click AGY button

  4. Click General Setup

  5. Click Items - Chemical

  6. If it proceeds to the Chemical Maintenance window without an error Agrian is functioning correctly
