Basic 339 error. Component 'mscomct2.ocx' or one of its dependences in not correctly registered.

 Problem

Whenever I launch Agris I get an error report. Basic 339 Component ‘mscomct2.ocx' or one of its dependence’s in not correctly registered.

 Solution

If you get the above error or a similar error with a different .ocx file run the following script on all machines encountering the error.

1. Open up command prompt and run as an admin

2. Type cd\windows\syswow64 within the first line of the command prompt

3. Then type regsvr32 mscomctl_v21.ocx and press enter

4. You should get a pop up saying that the file has been registered.

5. Launch Agris- if you continue to get errors on different .ocx files follows step 1-3 but change the script to reference the file in error.

6. If still having issues call Agris support (1-800-366-2474)
