Basic 2147217900 Error after Upgrading AGRIS

The new DDF files from the upgrade have not been properly replicated in the datasets. AGRIS will open but will encounter the following error within various places in the application:

(BASIC #-2147217900 (AgrisInterfaces: clsBusinessInterface: AgyRunFormulation)
(Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers)

[Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface]Invalid column name

This issue can be corrected by following the steps outline below.

  1. Check the file size and dates of the APPS\AGRIS\DDF\*.DDF files against the same *.DDF files found inside the AGRIS\Datasets\nnn dataset reporting the error (Where nnn refers to the dataset number).  Be aware that the Datasets\nnn directory will contain some additional DDF files not found in the APPS\AGRIS\DDF directory.  Just focus on the files that appear in both directories.  If discrepancies are found continue on to the next steps.  If the file size and dates are the same then there may be some other issue with the dataset.

  2. All users must close out of AGRIS.

  3. Make a copy of the DDF files currently in the dataset encountering problems.

  4. On the server, copy the new DDF files from the APPS\AGRIS\DDF folder to the numbered dataset folder that is generating the error (APPS\AGRIS\DATASETS\xxx).  For example, if dataset 001 is encountering the problem, then copy the new DDF files to the APPS\AGRIS\DATASETS\001 folder.  NOTE:  If an error is encountered stating "access denied" while trying to copy the DDF files, reboot the server and copy the files before launching AGRIS.

  5. Be aware that other datasets may potentially have older DDF files as well and require the same steps to repair.
