Basic 2147217900 Error Encountered While Working in AGRIS
The following steps should be completed at the console of the database server itself:
Have the users exit the system.
Stop the Pervasive.SQL services (or just reboot the database server):
Click Start > Run... > type CMD > click OK
Type NET STOP "PERVASIVE.SQL (RELATIONAL)" and hit Enter
Type NET STOP "PERVASIVE.SQL (TRANSACTIONAL)" and hit Enter
Type EXIT and hit Enter
Copy all of the *.DDF files from the AGRIS\DDF folder into the Apps\AGRIS\Datasets\xxx folder
Browse to the \\SERVER_NAME\Apps\AGRIS\DDF folder
Note: SERVER_NAME is a just used as an example. Replace SERVER_NAME with the actual name of the database server.
To browse to the above address, click Start > Run... > type \\SERVER_NAME\Apps\AGRIS\DDF > click OK
Press Ctrl + A to highlight all of the objects in the DDF folder
Press Ctrl + C to copy all of the highlighted objects to the clipboard
Browse to the \\SERVER_NAME\Apps\AGRIS\Datasets\xxx folder
Note: xxx refers to a specifically numbered dataset that corresponds to the dataset in V9 that is returning the error. For example, if users are encountering the error while working in the 002 dataset, then browse to the AGRIS\Datasets\002 folder.
To browse to the address listed in the above example, click Start > Run... > type \\SERVER_NAME\Apps\AGRIS\Datasets\xxx > click OK
Press Ctrl + P to paste all of the items from the clipboard into the folder
Reboot the database server
This error is typically caused when the DDF files from the AGRIS\DDF folder do not automatically update the AGRIS\Datasets\nnn\*.DDF files correctly. It will be necessary to stop the Pervasive services copy the DDF files manually from the AGRIS\DDF folder and paste them into the numbered dataset folder that corresponds to the dataset encountering the problem.
The error reported contains the following information:
ERROR OCCURRED IN PROGRAM AgrisInterfaces
ERROR NUMBER: BASIC #-2147217900
ERROR MESSAGE: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

Failure to restart the server in step 4 above will result in the connection between the AGRIS COM+ applications and PSQL being broken, which WILL cause problems with AGRIS, iView, etc.Delete this comment
